Quick Start
Get Chief running in your workspace in about 10 minutes. Five short steps:
Create your account with your Google Workspace email.
1. Sign UpDrop in your Anthropic API key — Chief uses your account for all AI calls.
2. Add Your API KeyOne-click OAuth install. Chief joins your workspace as a Slack app.
3. Install in SlackDM Chief or @-mention it in a channel — and watch it work.
4. Run Your First TaskWhat You’ll Need
- A Slack workspace where you have permission to install apps (admin or owner).
- An Anthropic account with an API key. Don’t have one? Sign up at console.anthropic.com — takes 2 minutes.
- A credit card to start your 14-day free trial. You won’t be charged until the trial ends.
What Chief Will Do First
Right after install, Chief opens a DM and runs a short “Getting to Know You” conversation — five quick questions about your role, your team, and the kind of work you want help with. This becomes the foundation of Chief’s understanding of your workspace and is referenced on every future request.
You can update what Chief knows about you any time by saying things like “From now on, sign all marketing copy as ‘The Team’ instead of using my name” or “Forget what I said about Friday standups — those are over.”
