Billing

Manage your Chief subscription, payment method, and invoice history.

Current Plan

The top of the page shows:

  • Your active plan (Pro or Enterprise)
  • Next billing date
  • Payment method on file (last 4 of card)
  • Trial status if applicable

Changing Your Plan

Click Change Plan to switch between Pro and Enterprise.

  • Upgrade (Pro → Enterprise) — takes effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period at the new rate.
  • Downgrade (Enterprise → Pro) — takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Enterprise-only features remain available until then. Multi-agent jobs queued on Enterprise will run to completion.

Payment Method

Click Update Card to change your card on file. Chief uses Stripe — your card details never touch our servers. The Stripe-hosted form is opened in a secure overlay.

If your card expires or fails, you’ll get email warnings on day -7, day -3, and on the failure day. After 3 failed attempts, your tenant moves to a 7-day grace period; after that, Slack access is paused (data preserved) until a working card is provided.

Invoices

Every invoice is linked from this page. Click any invoice to download the PDF or view the detailed line items.

Invoices include:

  • Plan subscription line
  • Any plan changes (prorations)
  • Tax (where applicable)

Invoices do not include your AI token spend — that’s billed by your LLM provider directly under the BYOK model.

Annual Billing

By default, Chief is monthly. For annual contracts (with a discount), email sales@hirechief.ai. Annual customers receive a single invoice and pay by ACH or wire.
